1. Who we are

Newton Drive Pharmacy is a community pharmacy located at Newton Drive Health Centre, Newton Drive, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY3 8NX. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing pharmacy services. 2. Information we collect

Through this website we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, contact details, and message content when you use our contact form; and your name, contact details, chosen service, preferred date and time, and any notes you provide when you request an appointment.

In the pharmacy we also process health information, such as your prescriptions and consultation records, as required to provide NHS and private pharmacy services. This clinical information is handled under NHS data standards and our professional obligations, not through this website.

3. How we use your information

We use website enquiries and booking requests solely to respond to you, arrange and manage your appointment, and provide the service you have requested. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

4. Legal basis

We process website enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you and managing appointments you request. Where we process health information in the pharmacy, we do so under our obligations to provide healthcare (UK GDPR Articles 6(1)(e)/(f) and 9(2)(h)) and NHS service requirements.

5. How long we keep it

Website enquiries and booking records are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and meet our record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted. Pharmacy clinical records are retained in line with NHS records management guidance.

6. Sharing your information

We only share information where necessary to provide your care, for example with your GP practice or NHS services, or where the law requires it. Our website hosting providers process data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.

7. Cookies and third-party content

Some cookies are needed for the website to work, such as the ones that keep staff signed in to the admin area. We set these without asking.

With your permission, we also use Google Ads cookies. They tell us which of our adverts brought you to the site and whether you went on to send us a consultation request. We also store how you found us (for example, which advert or campaign) in our own cookie for 30 days, so we can see which adverts lead to requests. We send Google only your request reference number, never your name, contact details or health information.

We ask before setting any of these. If you reject them, Google Ads runs without cookies and receives only basic, anonymous signals. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in a cookie for 6 months.

Pages that display an embedded Google Map load content from Google, which may set its own cookies subject to Google's privacy policy.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to request deletion where appropriate, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
